On the bathroom wall at the Ronald McDonald House East is a
hand painted tile that says "Bald is Beautiful".
"It means having no hair."
"You're not bald."
"Nope."
"I am."
"Yep. For now."
"Yeah, for now. Until my hair grows again."
"It'll grow again when chemo's done. I wonder what your
new hair will be like when it grows in."
"It will be like bear hair."
"Bear hair?"
"Yes, all over." He gestures to his arms and
chest. "All over like a bear. Then I won't need to use a blanket."
